Meredith Salenger
Salenger has been raised and lived in Malibu. She loved performing for loved ones and relatives as an early child. She was 8 years old when her mother enrolled her for her first acting school. In the John Huston-directed feature Annie She played a tiny role where she was classified as a "singing and dancing orphan". Salenger did several television ads. Salenger was the first to appear as a character in The Journey of Natty Gann from Disney, which starred John Cusack alongside Ray Wise. This film won the Moscow Film Festival's Gold Medal as the first movie made in America. The film was named "Best actor in drama" by the Youth in Film Awards, for portraying the tomboyish Natty. After appearing in four other movies by the time she was just 18 such as A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon and A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon, she quit Hollywood in order to attend Harvard for further studies.
